OSTF is currently seeking interns for our upcoming 2016 Season. These are 10 (ten) week commitments. Interns must be current or recent college students, and at least 18 years old. Only applicants with prior educational or professional experience in the area of the internship will be considered. Technical Internship positions available include:

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  assist in construction, load-in, run and strike of productions, supervise student shop workers, and maintaining the shop and supplies.  Qualified candidates should have at least 2 years of technical theater experience, especially in scenery construction. 10-week commitment, May 26th-Aug. 3rd.  $2500-$3500 season stipend, based on experience.

ASSISTANT TO THE TECHNICAL DIRECTOR. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  assist in construction, load-in, run and strike of productions, supervise student shop workers, and maintaining shop and supplies.  Qualified candidates should have at least 2 years of technical theater experience, esp. scenery construction.  10-week commitment, May 26th-Aug. 3rd.  $1800-$2500 season stipend, based on experience.

MASTER ELECTRICIAN. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: execution of repertory light plot from hang to focus, programming Ion Console, board op for performances, and troubleshooting/maintenance. Qualified candidates should have at least 2 years of lighting production experience.  10-week commitment, May 26th-Aug. 3rd.  $1900-$2500 season stipend, based on experience.

3 GENERAL PRODUCTION: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: to work as part of a team, as needed, on carpentry, rigging, electrics, scene painting, and running crew. Qualified candidates should have some experience in each of these areas, with specialized skills in at least one.  10-week commitment, May 26th-Aug. 3rd.  $1900 season stipend.

PROPERTIES MASTER: Responsibilities include, but not limited to: pulling, locating, renting, buying or building all performance props – in coordination with TD, scenic designer and stage management, and then maintenance throughout six-week, three-show rotating-repertory run, including repairs, cleaning, replenishing consumables, set-ups and change-overs. Valid drivers license required. Car a plus (gas reimbursed).  10-week commitment, May 26th- August 3rd.  $1900 season stipend

2 COSTUMING/WARDROBE ASSISTANTS: Responsibilities include: assisting Head Costumers as needed with all aspects of costume construction, fitting and alterations. Also, maintenance of all costumes throughout the six-week, three show rotating-repertory run, including repairs, laundry, set-ups and change-overs.  10-week commitment, May 26th- August 3rd. $1900 season stipend

STAGE MANAGEMENT: working as a team, under the supervision of the Production Stage Manager, responsible for duties as assigned, including: scheduling and daily communication (especially with actors and staff), running rehearsals (calls, being on book, recording blocking, rehearsal props) and performances (calling show, deck assignment, set up and change-overs).  10-week commitment, May 26th- August 3rd. $1900 season stipend

OSTF provides all interns with single, studio-apartment housing (with private bath and kitchenette, and within easy walking distant of the theater).  Applications are due by March 15th, but will be accepted until positions are filled.
